Founder of Mobiecom to Address “Headless Commerce” Application Transition at IBM’s Think 2019 Conference

Teresa Zobrist of Zobrist Consulting Group to Detail the Fast Storefront Application

Teresa Zobrist, CEO of Zobrist Consulting Group, a Premier IBM Business Partner specializing in e-commerce, will address IBM’s Think 2019 Conference this week about Mobiecom, Zobrist’s single page application (SPA) built on IBM “Headless Commerce” that serves as the fastest storefront to capture the burgeoning mobile market.

The transition to “headless commerce” is occurring because IBM WebSphere Commerce V9 provides a new architecture to take brands to the next level of customer experience. Many companies are not prepared to go “headless” and free up their storefront. Zobrist Consulting, with 17 years of experience in e-commerce, created Mobiecom precisely to go “headless” and specifically for IBM.

Zobrist and Dele Popoola, Business Development Manager of Zobrist Consulting Group, will explain Mobiecom on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at 3:30pmPT at Think 2019 in San Francisco, California at the Westin St. Francis, Mezzanine Level, in the Georgian Room.

Zobrist Consulting has introduced Mobiecom, a high performance mobile-first e-commerce storefront for IBM Digital Commerce. Mobiecom turns window shoppers into customers as it removes barriers that can prevent consumers from viewing shopping sites, buying products and checking out, therefore improving conversion rate with enhanced performance and simplified checkout, especially for mobile shoppers. On Mobiecom, an average page load is 2-3 seconds without CDN (Content Delivery Network).

“Too often, online shoppers interested in products or services get turned away or discouraged and bail when a retailer’s site is slow loading, hard to navigate, and the check-out is too complex and lengthy,” said Zobrist. “As the developers of Mobiecom, we want to spread the word that with more and more customers beginning to shop online via their mobile phone, losing customers will continue to get worse if retailers don’t have an easy to use, responsive website.”

Mobiecom addresses these challenges by providing a superior user experience, lightning-fast loading times, and a responsive design so mobile shoppers can easily navigate and quickly checkout of e-commerce websites.

Mobiecom is a cloud offering running on IBM Cloud and AWS (Amazon Web Services) and can support any version of IBM Commerce. To learn more about it, please visit here: http://mobiecom.tech

“First and foremost, on our mind is the migration to WCS V8 or V9 by April 2020,” said Zobrist. “If you are open to cloud and want to leverage the new features such as cognitive search, chat-bots, and the cognitive promotion engine, then you need to be on V9. V9 will have the longest shelf life as it will include a single code base with the IDC (SaaS) version of WCS. Our presentation will discuss this in detail.”

In the context of WebSphere Commerce, Zobrist encourages companies to think about taking advantage of Microservices to enable commerce on new channels and devices, separating front-end from back-end for faster time-to-market. The “commerce everywhere” concept will allow IBM to be where the customers are. Social media channels such as Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest are the new selling platforms.
