Zobrist Consulting is pleased to announce the release of a new offering named “WCS Friendly URLs” for companies that are running e-commerce websites on IBM WebSphere Commerce technology.
Summary:
This offering will take URLs that are search bots unfriendly, remove special characters and create English-like URLs to display smart content such as company, catalog and product information. This will be tremendously beneficial for e-commerce web sites with dynamic content. For dynamic content, data is retrieved from back-end database so the URLs are built with a number of parameters, represented by special characters such as %, ?, #, etc. When the search bots see these special characters, they will stop crawling and therefore ranking these dynamic sites very low in terms of content relevancy.
Details:
This offering will create SEO friendly URLs by using substitution rules to add relevant content to the URLs. These substitution rules will provide back-end database access to automatically populate the product URLs with catalog information as well as other relevant content.
Besides Friendly URLs, this offering also include generation of HTML sitemap, XML sitemap, and important page tags such as title, heading 1, heading 2, meta tag, and alt-image tags.
Pricing:
The offering is priced between $9,995 and $19,995 depending on the complexity of the URLs. This includes a free assessment to determine the cost of the service.
